Haesung Bong is a native of Seoul, South Korea and moved to Europe upon graduating from Kookmin University; where he studied at La Cambre in Brussels, Central Saint Martins in London, and Esmod in Paris with all-expenses-paid scholarships from winning the top prize for fashion competitions such as AOF International Competition, Kolon Fashion Awards, and Korea Fashion Design Awards.
Since being nominated as a top 10 finalist for the Mango Fashion Awards in 2012, he attained his master's degree in Fashion Design from ArtEZ University of the Arts in Arnhem, in The Netherlands and also started his own womenswear fashion label, HAESUNG BONG.
His collections were featured on runways around the world in Paris, London, Barcelona, Brussels, Amsterdam, Arnhem, Venezia, San Francisco, Singapore, Bangkok, and Seoul.
The tone of voice for his collection is filled with serenity, isolation, and the internalization of human feelings.
His designs exhibit visualized concepts, artisanal textiles, and structural silhouettes.
